Company History

Wipro Consumer Care Hong Kong markets a comprehensive range of skin care products. These are marketed under well-known brand names, BIO-ESSENCE and DERMA LAB.

L.D. Waxson Group was part of the Wipro Consumer Care Group of Companies and incorporated in 1980 by Dr. Tor Lam Huat who has led the company to create many household products.

The team has a passion for building sustainable brands, understanding the consumer market, building up strong brand image that can successfully compete against multinationals in the market place.

With the acquisition of Unza Group in 2007 and subsequently L.D. Waxson in 2012, Wipro Consumer Care has established a substantial global footprint.

  • 2012 – Acquisition of L.D Waxon Group by Wipro Consumer Care
  • 2016 – Pioneered in Outdoor Customer Engagement Campaign, i.e. street sampling
  • 2018 – Restage of Bio-essence with the innovative technology “Bio Energy Complex”
  • 2018 – Launch of Bio-essence Bio-Water Vitamin B5 Gel 
  • 2019 – Launch of Yardley London
