Ithemba Lethu Baby Home

We kicked the year off on a joyous note with the continuation of our visits to Ithemba Lethu Baby Home, which brings more joy to our team members than we ever thought possible! Along with the smiles, the team donated Oh So Heavenly products to the baby home which were excitedly welcomed.

LIV Village Back to School Drive:

To support the children of LIV Village as they returned to school for the 2023 academic year, Canway donated various school supplies and clothing. These supplies were greatly appreciated by all those at LIV Village and Canway was delighted to have played a small part in these children receiving quality education.

CHOC Flip Flop Day:

To support the Childhood Cancer Foundation (CHOC), Canway took part in its fundraising initiative, Flip Flop Day, on 17 February.  Our participation in the initiative saw the team donating to this charity to allow them to wear their favourite flip flops to the office for the day!

International ‘Fun at Work’ Day: 

In order to celebrate International ‘Fun at Work’ Day, the Canway team was encouraged to dress up as their favourite Canway product.  This challenge resulted in fantastic flexing of the creativity muscle and a ton of laughs, seeing team members dress up as anything from Mermaid at Heart Foam Baths to Wrapped in Romance Body Lotions!

Isipingo Fire Donations:

Due to a large-scale fire breaking out in Dakota Informal Settlement in Isipingo in April, hundreds of residents lost their homes and were displaced.  Canway arranged a large donation of wash products and sanitisers to the residents to assist them during this difficult time.

LIV Village Easter Delivery:

LIV Village received an egg-citing surprise when boxes of Easter eggs were delivered to them on behalf of Canway.  There were many happy faces when these egg-xtra special treats were delivered!

Canway Easter Egg Decorating Challenge:

To kick off the Easter weekend, the Canway team participated in an Easter Egg decorating competition! Creative skills were shown not only by the design team, but fantastic works of art were created by some unsuspecting members of the team!

International Worker’s Day:

In recognition of International Worker’s Day, Canway rewarded the team with donuts to thank them for their continued hard work and dedication. Donuts always go down well at Canway and seem to be the treat of choice!

Mother’s Day and Father’s Day:

Canway parents were treated to hampers to show our appreciation of their dedication to both their work and their families – not an easy feat, but one which these parents do so effortlessly.

Ushaka Team Building Afternoon:

In order to drive team spirit, Canway arranged for a group team building activity at Ushaka Marine World. The team had a fantastic afternoon working together to create war cries, throw spears, shoot paintballs, climb through supersized spiderwebs, complete puzzles, dominate at beach volleyball and egg and spoon races, amongst other fun and challenging activities! Not only do activities like this strengthen the relationships between team members, but they help to build on core qualities of effective teams – focus, planning, communication, goal orientation and fun!
